Sherford Parcels Phase 1A,1B and 2D
Sherford is a new town being developed to the east of Plymouth, Devon, transforming over 1200 acres of farmland and rolling countryside.
Taylor Wimpey has released Phase 2D to SHC for construction which begun May 2022, this phase consists of 140 plots including 2 blocks of flats, FOG units, terraced, semi-detached and detached plots.
Great attention to detail has been given on the finished articles with architectural detailing to the elevations and expensive surface finishes on the ground.
Foundation construction across all Parcels has seen a mixture of piled, trench filled and traditional strip foundations to overcome the variable ground conditions.
Taylor Wimpey has released the next phase at Sherford to SHC which consists of 231 plots including 3 blocks of flats, FOG units, terraced, semi-detached and detached plots.

Mayfield Gardens, Monkerton, Exeter
SHC have recently been awarded Mayfield Gardens in Monkerton and started construction early January 2019. The site is split in two parts bisected by Harts Lane and compromises of 250 units including flats, terraced, semi-detached and detached plots. There is a mixture of piled foundations and strip foundations. SHC will be responsible for construction of 3 attenuation ponds, nearly 8,000 m² of road and 5,000m of drainage pipe.
Bakerland, Monkerton, Exeter
SHC have recently been awarded Baker Land which is an extension of our current project Mayfield Gardens. The site comprises of 44 units including terraced, semi-detached, and detached plots. SHC will be responsible for construction of 2 attenuation tanks, 670m² of road & 730m of foul & storm drainage.
Lunar Rise – Hill Barton Exeter
SHC have recently been awarded Lunar Rise, Hill Barton and started construction in April’24. The site comprises of 195 units including blocks of flats, terraced, semi-detached and detached plots. Plot foundations are made up of both pile and strip foundations. SHC will be responsible for 3898m² of road and 10,550m of storm & foul drainage.
Collaton St Mary
St Mary View is a brand-new community which SHC have recently been awarded St Mary View is a site with 73 new homes with a range of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes for the picturesque village of Collaton St Mary.
We have started the Section 278 works that include installing a bus stop, footpaths and widening the main road for the site entrance. There will also be 3600m² of road and 2000m of drainage to install along with a large Attenuation Basin to the East of the site.
